Two sisters—Kate, a developmental biologist, and Helen, a high-end fashion designer—team up to develop a couture collection inspired by the first 1,000 hours of embryonic life. Dubbed Primitive Streak—after the early embryonic process that results in the formation of the three germ layers that form all the tissues in the body—the 27-piece collection takes its audience from the first cell division and heartbeat of an organism, to the formation of its vital organs, all the way into its transformation into a recognizable form.
